Chief Incumbent of Kotte Sri Naga Viharaya Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha
Thero was never threatened or pressurized by anyone says a Spokesperson
for the Thero. According to him Sobitha Thero is recovering now and
expected to be discharged from the hospital within three days.
Lankapuvath National News Agency contacted the Thero to find out about
his health. In reply to Lankapuvath queries the Spokesperson said the
Ven. Maduluwawe Sobitha Thero had participated in several Dhambadiva
Katina Pinkama before falling ill.
He had developed a back pain and had to be taken to the Hospital and
there is no truth in rumors spread by some media and others that he had
to travel to President Mahinda Rajapaksa and Parliamentarian Tiran
Alles’ houses, said the Spokesperson.
He emphasized that some media organizations and politicians are
forgetting their responsibilities and misleading the public and it is
very regrettable.
